Photography Final: Highlighter Portraits.
Brendan is a pretty fantastic model.
Also I am a dithering idiot and I had to completely re-shoot my self-portrait. I tried to duplicate my favorites from the original shoot but it didn’t work out, and this is what I ended up with. I’m happy with it, but I’m still disappointed that I lost the originals.
Portrait work!
I love my makeshift apartment studio, and also my ridiculously cute friends.
I had to take self-portraits for photography class. The final prints have to be black and white, and it’s really interesting to see how they compare. And also how much contrast is lost in the switch to B/W.
I get the photos from the first critique back on Tuesday, and I’ll be scanning and posting some of those. :)
I have a lot of shooting to do between now and April 2 - I’m planning to work with Zach for the 3200 ISO night photoshoot, Brian’s daughter Vivian for a 100 ISO “change in perspective” shoot, and Rachael for the digital portrait. I would also like to do a shoot with someone with a rather elaborate cosplay, something that will work well in dramatic lighting, as the last assignment is to imitate the work of a photographer and I picked a friend that uses harsh, dramatic lighting.
Sorry not sorry.
